Description

Today’s workplace can be an exciting, though not always harmonious, mixture of four generational cohorts; Traditionals, Boomers, Xers and our youngest workers from Generation NeXt. Issues in intergenerational communication and understanding impact every part of our professional lives, from leading and following to client relations and training design and delivery. Understanding typical generational values, traits, preferences and styles can improve our personal effectiveness across our goals and functions. It can help in recruitment, effective management, worker and workplace effectiveness, and employee harmony, satisfaction and retention. Generational understanding can help in our communication and relations with clients and trainees, and can impact our design and delivery of educational services. This program will offer a broad overview of the generational issues and dynamics in the workplace with specific, immediately applicable suggestions for being effective in all of our professional pursuits.
