Description

Larry Center, Assistant Dean for CLE at Georgetown Law for 32 years and a former ACLEA president, has been a licensed Franklin Covey facilitator for 25 years. He has taught “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” as a full-day ACLEA seminar and at ACLEA annual meetings. Now Larry returns to show us how to apply these critical habits as we cope with this unprecedented pandemic. Larry will  review the essential elements of each habit and illustrate how we can all utilize them to address the uncertainty, stress and work challenges we are all facing during this strange time in our lives.

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn to address the pandemic-induced challenges proactively rather than react to your daily feelings or circumstances.
  2. Grasp the difference between your “Circle of Concern” and your “Circle of Influence” and understand how this realization can help you be more productive now.
  3. Develop strategies for creating weekly goals and focusing on what’s important during this different time.
  4. Understand why active listening is even more important now than ever before and how it can produce greater collaboration among remote team members.
  5. Make a commitment to create daily routines that facilitate your mental, physical, spiritual and relational health.
